Job summary

EtaPRO LLC, a Toshiba Group Company, is seeking an Application Engineer to join the Amherst, NY team. You will independently develop, configure, implement, and commission real-time performance and condition-monitoring solutions for power generation customers, applying thermodynamics and related engineering principles.

You will review plant data, build models, and deliver end-user training while collaborating with project teams to meet client requirements and ensure successful deployments.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
• 2+ years in an engineering role
• Experience with technical analysis and plant systems
• Experience with SQL/database tools a plus
• Experience in power industry preferred

Responsibilities

• Review plant design information and diagrams to define monitoring requirements.
• Configure models, displays, reports, and equations to meet project needs.
• Build thermodynamic and pattern-recognition models for equipment performance.
• Interpret performance deviations and diagnose causes of off-design operation.
• Develop diagnostic flow charts for complex plant-performance issues.
• Coordinate requirements and schedules with teams and customers.
• Deliver end-user training and support EtaPRO system usage.
