Job summary

Lockheed Martin in Marietta, GA seeks a Software Engineer Senior Staff to lead the F-22 MITL development, sustaining and rehosting the OFP on Linux. You will guide the team, coordinate with customers, and drive high-quality software delivery for pilot-in-the-loop simulations.

Required: BS in EE/CS/CE, strong C/C++, Java or Ada, Windows/Linux, and leadership experience. Must be a US citizen with a Secret clearance; location is on site in Marietta, GA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Software, Computer Engineering or Computer Science from an accredited university.
• Extensive experience developing in C/C++, Java and/or Ada.
• Team or project leadership experience.
• Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Knowledge of avionics, OFPs, Open Systems Architecture, and MiL simulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead software development for the F-22 MITL team and integrate new features.
• Oversee Agile workflow, sprint planning, and customer interactions.
• Provide status updates and perform technical reviews of code and docs.
• Mentor the MITL team to deliver OFP-based software on Linux environments.
