Job summary

Leidos Inc. seeks a Software Engineer/Developer in the Chantilly, VA area to design, develop, test and debug software for new and enhanced systems.

You will work in a team applying SDLC principles and standards to rapidly prototype classified tools and capabilities supporting intelligence missions. The role requires a TS/SCI clearance, a Bachelor's with 8+ years of experience or a Master’s with 6+ years, and proficiency in Python, C++, Java, and cloud/Kubernetes environments.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizen with an active TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph.
• Bachelor's Degree and 8+ years of relevant experience or a Master's with 6+ years; degree may be substituted by experience.
• Proficiency in full lifecycle software development (design, development, testing, debugging, prototyping).
• Proficiency with Python, Bash, C++, and Java.
• Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Azure) and Kubernetes.
• DevOps pipelines and tools such as GitLab CI, Ansible, or similar.
• Demonstrated leadership with a solutions-focused approach.
• Strong verbal and written communication; cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Engineer, test, and develop tool prototypes for multi-INT processing and mission operations.
• Leverage industry tools for rapid prototyping, experiment support, and tool development.
• Support enterprise software development, focusing on high-performance computing and GPU usage.
• Work with imagery server development, web services interfaces, and related tool suites for R&D.
• Transition prototyping technologies into operational use.
• Perform other related duties as required.
