Job summary

Pindrop seeks a seasoned software engineer to design, develop, and maintain highly scalable cloud-based APIs in Go and Python. You will work on a modern cloud-focused platform, leveraging AWS and GCP services, with emphasis on performance, security, and reliability.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, contribute to DevOps practices, and participate in on-call rotations. This role offers a remote-first environment with regular on-site team interactions and extensive learning

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of software development experience
• Experience designing and implementing highly scalable cloud-based APIs
• Proficiency in Python and Go
• Expertise in data structures, algorithms, and concurrency
• 2+ years of DevOps practices: CI/CD, Kubernetes, container-based deployments
• Knowledge of Redis, MySQL, and related storage technologies
• Experience with Docker and container orchestration including Kubernetes
• Experience with AWS native products (Kinesis, DynamoDB, S3) and Linux proficiency

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and monitor high-performance services and APIs.
• Develop applications in Go and Python on a cloud-focused platform.
• Build and maintain services using AWS (Kinesis, DynamoDB, S3) and GCP.
• Deliver production-ready code from start to finish.
• Review code for performance, scale, and security.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, QA, research science, and product managers.
• Evaluate new technologies and contribute to engineering best practices.
• Participate in on-call rotation with occasional night/weekend work.
