Job summary

Justworks, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Product Foundations team in New York City. You will own large, cross-functional projects from discovery through launch, delivering outcomes that positively impact customers and the platform.

The role emphasizes building scalable, reliable systems and mentoring peers. We value collaboration with designers and product managers and expect you to contribute to performance, security, and operational excellence while working in a hybrid

Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years of professional hands-on experience.
Golang is a plus but not required; mastery of modern server-side languages.
Proficiency with SQL.
Experience with cloud infrastructure management, preferably AWS.
Experience mentoring other engineers.
Experience working closely with designers and product managers.

Responsibilities

Independently own large-scoped projects from discovery through launch with outcomes-focused delivery.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve customer challenges.
Improve the performance, reliability, and scalability of existing systems.
Promote engineering excellence through leadership, knowledge-sharing and mentorship.
Add capabilities to high-volume, fault-tolerant processing infrastructure.
Enhance testing, monitoring and continuous deployment infrastructure.
Keep extremely sensitive data compartmentalized and secure.
