Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional development experience
• Proficiency in server-side languages: Python, Java, Node.js or Ruby
• Solid SQL skills and understanding of database fundamentals
• Experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS
• Interest in helping junior developers and contributing to team knowledge sharing
• Experience collaborating with designers and product managers on feature development

Responsibilities

• Own large-scoped projects from initial discovery through launch with a focus on outcomes and customer impact
• Collaborate with a cross-functional team to find solutions to customer challenges
• Improve the performance, reliability, and scalability of existing systems
• Promote engineering excellence through technical leadership, knowledge-sharing and mentorship
• Add capabilities to high-volume, fault-tolerant processing infrastructure
• Enhance testing, monitoring and CI/CD infrastructure
• Keep extremely sensitive data compartmentalized and secure
