Job summary

Justworks, based in New York City, seeks a Senior Program Manager on the Technology team to lead highly complex cross-functional programs that span Product, Engineering, Design, Data, and Operations. You will translate broad objectives into executable programs and build operating models to deliver measurable outcomes.

You’ll collaborate with senior leaders to align roadmaps, manage dependencies, and drive decisions that impact product strategy and customer value.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of program management, strategy, operations, product, or equivalent experience leading complex cross-functional work in a modern technology business.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to define and structure highly ambiguous problems.
• Experience building complex programs or operating models from the ground up and leading them to outcomes.
• Deep Product and Technology fluency with experience partnering with Product and Engineering leaders.
• Strong business acumen and ability to connect program decisions to customer and organizational outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Independently own highly complex, strategically important programs from problem definition through execution and measurable business impact.
• Translate ambiguous business problems into clear program strategies, operating models, and measures of success.
• Lead discovery across teams to understand the problem, challenge assumptions, and ensure the right outcome before execution.
• Build scalable program operating models with governance, decision rights, stakeholder engagement, and rhythms.
• Partner with Product and Technology leaders to connect business strategy with roadmaps and delivery across teams.
• Build relationships across organizational boundaries and influence senior stakeholders to align priorities without formal authority.
• Anticipate risks, dependencies, and second-order impacts; establish mechanisms to address them proactively.
• Use data to identify signals, diagnose problems, measure impact, and inform decisions.
• Adapt program strategy, scope, and operating models as priorities change.
• Communicate complex work clearly at different levels using frameworks and storytelling to translate ambiguity into decisions.
• Build durable systems and ways of working that reduce friction and create lasting value.
• Coach teams to strengthen Program Management capabilities across Technology.
• Identify opportunities beyond core responsibilities to drive impact across Technology.
