Job summary

Central Insurance Company is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Personal Lines PolicyOps team. You will shape modern policy administration technology, implement product requirements, and build scalable foundations for policyholders, agents, and internal teams.

You will write and review code, mentor engineers, and collaborate with product managers to deliver robust software solutions in a hybrid environment across multiple locations.

Qualifications

• Advanced technical knowledge of complex software systems across enterprise, middleware and messaging
• Strong experience in software development and systems engineering
• Expert business acumen and root-cause analysis abilities
• Extensive experience with multiple software design tools and languages
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience writing and executing test plans, debugging and testing scripts/tools
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to communicate architectures and negotiate options at senior levels

Responsibilities

• Writes code, architecture docs, and contributes to policy standards; collaborates with engineers and product managers
• Applies appropriate design patterns for readable, testable code with manageable tech debt
• Contributes to team testing approaches and quality metrics
