Job summary

Core Specialty is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, configure, and extend the Insurance Platform (Duck Creek). You will deliver compliant, scalable insurance products by configuring platforms, extending business logic, and integrating with enterprise systems.

The role requires collaboration with product managers, BAs, QA, and integration teams to implement rules, forms, transactions, and APIs while maintaining high quality and performance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience coding in C#/.NET Core and API development.
• Experience configuring enterprise policy administration platforms is preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in IT or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Configure policy administration models using platform configuration tools to meet business and regulatory needs.
• Build and customize behaviors for policy lifecycle events: quote, issue, endorsement, renewal, cancellation.
• Develop, test, and optimize rules and pricing calculations for underwriting decisions.
• Design policy documents and outputs using XML/XSLT or template-driven formats.
• Create integrations between Duck Creek and external systems via APIs and open standards.
• Contribute to platform design with focus on maintainability, performance, and scalability; mentor juniors.
• Produce unit and integration tests and collaborate with QA on automation.
• Manage and optimize SQL Server objects and batch processes in environments.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
