Job summary

KBR seeks a Senior Software Engineer to lead software development for PNT systems across DoD programs, collaborating with hardware teams on lab and field tests. The role emphasizes algorithm design, integration, and verification in multi-environment settings.

The candidate should have 8+ years of software experience, strong C/C++ or Python skills, and be able to obtain DoD security clearance. Location is Beavercreek, OH with a competitive package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer, Electrical or Aerospace Engineering are required.
• 8+ years of professional software development experience for technical systems.
• Proficiency in C/C++ or Python with ownership of complex components.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain software for systems, simulations, and analysis environments.
• Lead implementation of first-principles physics algorithms with error characterization.
• Architect and integrate within software frameworks for simulation and test.
• Integrate software with HITL/SITL and digital twin environments.
• Define interfaces between software components and external systems.
• Lead test planning, execution, and analysis for PNT experiments and evaluations.
• Collaborate with systems engineers to align requirements and hardware constraints.
• Review, mentor, and provide technical guidance to junior engineers.
• Document designs, algorithms, and test results for reviews and deliverables.
