Job summary

KBR, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead software development and integration for advanced weapon system programs.

You will coordinate across prime contractors, perform design reviews, testing, verification and release activities, and ensure software aligns with system flight readiness objectives. The role demands disciplined technical execution, stakeholder coordination, and compliance throughout development and sustainment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Oversee software development across multiple baselines to meet objectives and schedules.
Review requirements, architecture, design artifacts, and documentation from prime contractors.
Support development and maintenance of CDRL deliverables and software documentation.
Coordinate software budget planning, execution, and technical assessments.
Evaluate software safety compliance with applicable standards and program requirements.
Support Formal Qualification Testing (FQT) and test planning/execution reviews.
Participate in IV&V activities to verify performance and compliance.
Collaborate with systems engineering, integration, test, and operations teams to mitigate risks.
Support final software materiel release activities and flight readiness decisions.
Other duties to support mission and business needs.
