ABOUT THE POSITION

As a Senior Software Engineer on the Platform Engineering team, you will design, build, and support enterprise integration and platform solutions that connect critical business systems and enable scalable digital capabilities. You will work closely with product owners, architects, engineers, and business stakeholders to deliver reliable, secure, and maintainable integration services and platforms. This role is ideal for an experienced engineer who enjoys solving complex technical problems, building high-quality software, and mentoring teammates while remaining deeply hands‑on in the design and development process. You will contribute to platform modernization efforts including moving Columbia’s AI strategy forward, helping improve engineering practices, and support the delivery of solutions that provide meaningful business value across the organization.

WHY JOIN US

You’ll have the opportunity to work on modern cloud platforms, contribute to critical enterprise capabilities, and help shape the future of our integration and platform ecosystem. You’ll be part of a collaborative engineering culture that values innovation, continuous improvement, and technical excellence while providing opportunities for professional growth and meaningful impact.

HOW YOU’LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE

Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement long‑term solutions to improve system reliability. Partner with product owners and business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions. Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback that helps improve quality and maintainability. Identify opportunities to simplify systems, reduce technical debt, and improve platform performance. • Understanding of software architecture principles, system design, and application security concepts.
  • Experience working in Agile software development environments.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with both technical and non‑technical audiences.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Azure Integration Services, including Azure Functions, Logic Apps, Service Bus, API Management, Microsoft Foundry, or related technologies.
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.
