Job summary

Delta Dental Ins. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the People Technology team, building and supporting our HCM Applications Suite. You will design, develop, and maintain scalable Oracle-based products with a strong emphasis on security and performance.

You will work with cross-functional teams including product managers, UX, architects, and DevOps to deliver high-quality, production-ready software and ensure reliable production health and documentation.

Qualifications

4+ years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
Experience designing scalable and secure applications.
Experience with Oracle HCM modules (Core HR, Talent, Benefits); Payroll/OTL/Learn nice to have.
Expertise in BI Publisher reports, interface development, security roles, and workflow approvals.
Experience with Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), Visual Builder Studio (VB Studio), and Redwood standards.
Ability to translate business processes into efficient IT solutions.
Strong communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain scalable Oracle-based applications and integrations.
Gather requirements with HR and Application Analysts for reports and interfaces.
Design and document conversions, interfaces, and custom reporting for Oracle Apps.
Build Oracle Cloud HCM integrations using OIC, VB Studio, and Redwood standards.
Perform unit testing, code reviews, and mentor engineers.
Monitor production health and troubleshoot post-production issues.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritize requirements.
