Delta Dental of California is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the People Technology team. You will build and support our Oracle-based HCM Applications Suite, delivering scalable, secure software from conception to production support.

The role collaborates with product managers, UX designers, architects, and DevOps to implement reliable HR technology solutions. You will design, develop, and maintain integrations using OIC, VB Studio, and Redwood standards, while mentoring engineers and

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in software engineering with CS degree or equivalent.
• Experience designing scalable, secure applications.
• Experience with Oracle HCM modules: Core HR, Talent, Benefits; payroll/OTL/Learn beneficial.
• Expertise in BI Publisher, interfaces, troubleshooting, security roles, and approvals.
• Experience with OIC, VB Studio, Redwood design standards.
• Ability to analyze business processes and automate workflows.
• Ability to mentor and guide junior engineers.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Build and support a scalable set of HCM applications.
• Gather requirements with HR/Analysts and translate into design.
• Develop data conversions, interfaces, reporting for Oracle apps.
• Design, develop, and maintain Oracle Cloud HCM integrations and extensions.
• Open and manage Oracle Service Requests and provide production support.
• Write unit tests and ensure code quality; peer reviews.
• Collaborate with product, design, and DevOps teams to deliver solutions.
• Monitor performance and drive improvements across the stack.
