Job summary

Tangram Flex in Dayton, Ohio is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with 8+ years of experience to provide technical leadership in open mission system integration and modular software implementation.

You will guide design, development, and verification of deployable software solutions, collaborating with program management and a team of system and software engineers to deliver results for government and industry customers.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering (MS/PhD preferred).
• 8 years in software engineering development with hands-on leadership on R&D or product projects.
• U.S. Citizenship required; must possess or be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance.
• Expert-level C/C++ development skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% of work time to client sites and industry events.
• Work location based in Dayton, Ohio.

Responsibilities

• Technical leadership: Architect, develop, and test high-performance software (C/C++, Java, Python, Rust) aligned with open standards.
• Client engagement: gather requirements, manage expectations, deliver on commitments, and present technical proposals.
• Engineering mentorship and SDLC: lead code reviews, drive best practices, and manage agile processes.
• Integration, testing, and product delivery: support end-to-end system verification and hardware/software integration.
