Job summary
Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems Sector has an opening for a Principal / Sr. Principal Software Engineer - Onsite Customer Integration to join Global Surveillance Division supporting the E-2D team. This position is located onsite in Patuxent River, MD.
Responsibilities include deploying, automating, maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving the systems and software infrastructure. You will participate in the full lifecycle of software development, including requirements development,
Qualifications
- Principal level: Bachelor's in STEM with 5+ years' experience; or Master's with 3 years; PhD with 1 year.
- Sr. Principal level: Bachelor's in STEM with 8 years; or Master's with 6 years; PhD with 4 years.
- Development experience with C/C++ or other OOP languages.
- At least 3 years of experience integrating technical solutions for a software product.
- At least 3 years of experience on projects with formal requirements and test.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and unit test software across the full lifecycle.
- Collaborate with customers to integrate functionality with other components.
- Gather and report software metrics.
- Follow program software best practices.
- Develop software across all lifecycle phases.
- Work with engineers and technicians in a lab environment.
- Produce technical documentation and presentations.
