Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems seeks a Principal Software Engineer - Development to design, develop, integrate and test embedded software for flight and mission-critical systems. The role is on-site in San Diego, CA with a partial hybrid schedule, and requires a Secret clearance.

You will work with multi-disciplinary teams in an Agile environment across real-time operating systems and software baselines, delivering robust software products for end-user customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM with 5+ years related engineering experience or advanced degree with reduced experience.
• Experience with the full SW Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Experience with programming in C, C++, and Python.
• Experience with multi-threaded software for real-time, flight- or mission-critical systems.
• Experience with two of the following tools: Jira, GitLab, Docker, Fortify, or Coverity.
• Active U.S. Government Secret Clearance.
• Experience with Agile SW development and embedded systems.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the full software development life cycle from requirements to delivery.
• Operate in embedded real-time development for flight and mission-critical systems.
