Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Senior Principal Systems Engineer (EW) to support airborne sensor platforms. The role emphasizes system design, integration, and test in a 100% onsite environment, working with IPTs across HW, SW, FW, I&T, and Program Management to deliver mission-critical EW capabilities.

Qualifications include an advanced STEM degree with experience in aerospace or defense, active US Secret clearance, and ability to obtain SAP. Prior EW, DSP, and MBSE experience is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree plus 8 years, Master’s 6 years, or PhD 4 years in STEM; extra 4 years may substitute degree.
• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Current/active U.S. Government Secret Clearance; ability to obtain SAP.
• Experience with systems engineering, integration & test for complex aerospace/defense systems.
• Experience with airborne sensors, RF systems, and EW concepts.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to system-level architecture, design, and requirements decomposition for airborne EW sensor systems.
• Support development, analysis, and maintenance of system and subsystem requirements, interfaces, and performance allocations.
• Plan and execute integration and test activities for EW systems and sensors in laboratory and field environments.
• Collaborate with HW, SW, FW, I&T, and Program Management teams to maintain technical alignment and manage risks.
• Develop and review test plans, procedures, and test reports; support configuration control and traceability to requirements.
• Support troubleshooting and root-cause analysis of system issues during integration and test.
