Job summary

NetBox Labs is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with strong DevOps experience to own NetBox Enterprise deployments and lifecycle management for on-prem customers. You will drive installation, configuration, and uptime, tackling complex challenges unique to air-gapped environments and multi-cluster setups.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in software engineering, platform engineering, or SRE.
• Kubernetes, Helm charts, and deployment automation experience in multi-cluster/multi-region setups.
• Hands-on experience with AI-augmented development tooling and agentic workflows.
• Strong Python skills for tooling, APIs, and automation.
• CI/CD systems (GitHub Actions), GitOps (ArgoCD/FluxCD), and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform).
• Linux system administration, networking, and security knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement Kubernetes-based on-prem HA solutions and air-gapped installations.
• Extend and maintain the Kubernetes operator for NetBox Enterprise.
• Develop and maintain the operations console and tooling for lifecycle management.
• Create robust multi-stage CI/CD pipelines and release processes on a 6-week cadence.
• Write Rust and Python across the stack, including operator internals and APIs.
• Build internal tooling and APIs to support integration testing by upstream teams.
• Develop deployment documentation and best practices; guide customers during deployments.
• Serve as Engineering Guardian weekly to assist Customer Success and resolve deployments.
