Job summary

Box is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for its Network as a Service (NaaS) team in Redwood City, CA. You will architect and implement distributed systems and software load balancers, owning solutions end-to-end from ideation to rollout and impact measurement.

You’ll mentor engineers and collaborate with cross-functional partners to improve platform reliability. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in software engineering, experience with AWS, Kubernetes, and at least one of Go, Java, C/C++, or

Qualifications

BS/MS degree in Computer Science or a related field.
5+ years of experience in software engineering focused on distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, or platform networking.
Hands-on experience with load balancers (L4/L7), AWS, and Kubernetes in production environments.
Strong proficiency with Go, Java, C/C++, or Rust; able to design reliable, observable services.
Track record delivering end-to-end technical solutions and mentoring engineers.

Responsibilities

Architect, develop, validate, and roll out distributed systems and software load balancers for Box’s internal and external networking infrastructure.
Own end-to-end technical solutions from ideation to rollout and impact measurement.
Identify and drive improvements to Box’s network and platform infrastructure.
