Job summary

Solventum is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to lead development of healthcare software and to implement security best practices. This remote-friendly role supports teams across locations and requires strong Java/SpringBoot experience and cloud tooling.

You will collaborate with engineers worldwide, solve complex problems, and deliver high-quality, well-tested software using Test-Driven Development. A competitive compensation package accompanies the role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field and 6+ years in software development.
• 4+ years with Java, SpringBoot, and SpringCloud.
• 2+ years with Docker and Linux.
• 2+ years with at least one scripting language (Python, Ruby, Bash).

• AWS Cloud Certification and Kubernetes familiarity are a plus.

Senior Software Engineer (Solventum)

Impact You’ll Make in this Role

• Leading the development of world class software for the Healthcare Industry
• Implementing and incorporating good Security practices in Software Development
• Determining the most optimum solution for a given problem
• Supporting and collaborating with other engineers in solving problems and global teams
• Creating well tested, high-quality Software following a Test-Driven Development model

Your Skills and Expertise

• Minimum qualifications: Bachelor or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution AND six (6) years of experience in software development. OR High School Diploma/GED from AND Ten(10) years of experience in software development.
• In addition to the above requirements, the following are also required: 4+ years of experience with Java, SpringBoot and SpringCloud.
• 2+ years of experience with Docker and Linux.
• 2+ years of experience with at least one scripting language (example: Python, Ruby, Bash etc.).
• 1+ years of experience with any deployment tool such as Terraform and/or Ansible.
• Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include: AWS Cloud Certification, Familiarity with Kubernetes, Consul, Prometheus, Rancher, Cloud experience, Open Source Software contributions.

Compensation

The expected compensation range for this position is $106,000 - $145,750, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary due to factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience.
