Job summary

Helion seeks an experienced software engineer to join an agile team delivering scalable applications on Azure using C#/.NET, EF Core, and SQL Server, plus TypeScript and React. Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a closely related field
• 5 years proficiency in design and analysis of algorithms and scalable systems
• 5+ years in at least one modern programming language and experience with React, Angular, NodeJS, NoSQL, HTML5, CSS, GCP or AWS
• 5 years understanding of REST/HTTPS/JSON
• 5 years in one or more general purpose languages (Java, Python, C#, JavaScript)
• 5 years defining system architectures and trade-offs for long-term capabilities
• Healthcare experience is a plus (5-7 years)

Responsibilities

• Design and write engineering specifications for software applications and programs
• Explore and implement technical solutions to achieve product features while safeguarding scalability and performance
• Participate in all scrum ceremonies and assist in sprint planning
• Drive story creation with DoD and acceptance criteria, and manage tasks in RTC or Jira
• Monitor production progress and report issues to lead developers regularly
• Mentor junior to intermediate software engineers as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned
