Job summary
Thompson Software Solutions seeks a Senior Software Engineer – Mission Systems to design, develop, integrate, and test software enabling core mission capabilities within complex avionics architectures. You will contribute to mission computing, data links, displays, sensors, and weapon systems to deliver real-time operational functionality.
Applicants must have a STEM Bachelor's, 5+ years of C/C++ RT embedded experience, and be able to work onsite with up to 10% travel.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in STEM.
- 5+ years of C/C++ development experience.
- Experience in mission systems software architecture, including design, development, and integration.
- C / C++ development for real-time embedded systems.
- Integration and interoperability testing in lab and simulated environments.
- Ability to work onsite 100% and travel up to 10%.
- Security clearance requirements for access to classified information.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, integrate, and test mission systems software for avionics architectures.
- Work with multi-site teams to deliver cohesive, real-time functionality.
- Support mission computing, data links, sensors, CNI, and displays.
