Job summary

Thompson Software Solutions in Atlanta, GA (HQ: multiple sites) seeks a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to advance mission-critical avionics software for military aircraft platforms. You will develop, integrate, and test software across labs and real hardware, collaborating with a high-performing, multi-site team.

Requires 5+ years in embedded software, C++ for safety-critical systems, and RTOS expertise. Onsite work is expected with some travel; security clearance eligibility is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a STEM discipline.
• 5+ years embedded software development experience.
• C++ development for safety-critical avionics systems.
• RTOS (MOSA.ic, VxWorks, Integrity) experience.
• Embedded app development with RTOS/Windows.
• SW integration and testing with MIL-STD-1553 & Ethernet.
• Software integration in lab and hardware environments.
• Ability to obtain a security clearance.
• Onsite work 100% and 10% travel.
