Job summary

Broadcom is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to drive platform tooling and modernize z/OS-based workflows. You will design and maintain shared libraries, automate development pipelines, and contribute to scalable solutions across Mainframe product teams.

You will collaborate with product management, UX, and engineering leaders to define requirements, implement AI-assisted workflows, and promote best practices in a fast-paced enterprise environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Experience with IBM Mainframe z/OS environments and SMP/e/z/OSMF.
• Proficiency in Java, Python, or Groovy.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines using Git and Jenkins; automation tooling with Ansible.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools to accelerate scripting and workflows.

Responsibilities

• Platform & Tooling Development: design, develop, and maintain core libraries and developer tools.
• Mainframe Modernization: integrate CI/CD pipelines and automation in z/OS environments.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: work with product, UX, and engineering leadership on requirements and roadmaps.
• Quality & Reliability: troubleshoot and resolve issues to ensure enterprise-grade performance.
• Technical Leadership: mentor teammates and promote modern software engineering practices.
