Broadcom is seeking a skilled Mainframe software engineer to develop and maintain shared software, libraries, and automation frameworks for internal product teams. You will integrate modern CI/CD and AI-assisted workflows into z/OS environments while collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve complex issues.

The role requires hands-on z/OS, SMP/e, and z/OSMF experience, plus proficiency in Java, Python, or Groovy and a strong CI/CD background.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of software development, or Master's with 3+ years.
• Hands-on IBM z/OS, SMP/e, and z/OSMF experience.
• Proficiency in Java, Python, or Groovy; experience with CI/CD.

Job description

Develop and maintain shared software, libraries, developer tools, and automation frameworks for Broadcom Mainframe product teams, integrating modern CI/CD and AI-assisted workflows into z/OS environments. Collaborate across product, UX, and engineering teams, resolve complex issues, support agile delivery, and mentor colleagues.

Requirements:

Requires hands-on experience with IBM z/OS, system components, product maintenance, and software installation using SMP/e and z/OSMF, along with proficiency in Java, Python, or Groovy and experience with CI/CD tools such as Git and Jenkins. Applicants need a bachelor's degree and at least five years of software development experience, or a master's degree and at least three years; automation experience is required, while RESTful services and cloud interfaces are preferred.
