Job summary

Broadcom Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design and maintain cross-team tooling for our Mainframe product groups. You will advance modernization by integrating CI/CD pipelines, automation, and AI-assisted workflows within z/OS environments.

You will collaborate with product management, UX, and engineering leaders to translate complex requirements into scalable solutions, while mentoring teammates and promoting modern software practices across the division.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical field with 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Master’s degree in related field with 3+ years of professional software development experience.
• Hands-on experience with IBM Mainframe z/OS environments and SMP/e, z/OSMF.
• Proficiency in Java, Python, or Groovy; strong software design skills.

Responsibilities

• Platform & tooling development: build libraries and tools used across Broadcom Mainframe teams.
• Mainframe modernization: integrate CI/CD, automation, and AI-assisted workflows into z/OS environments.
• Cross-functional collaboration with PM, UX, and Engineering leadership.
• Quality & reliability: troubleshoot and ensure enterprise-grade performance.
• Technical leadership: support agile practices, mentor teammates.
