Job summary

Broadcom Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer for its Mainframe Datacom team in Plano, TX. You will build, test, and support mainframe database solutions with an agile approach, collaborating across the development team to deliver high-quality software aligned with user needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in Engineering and 8+ years of related experience; Masters and 6+ years may be desirable
• Typically 5+ years of mainframe software development experience or related field
• Experience in Agile Software Development
• Knowledge of Endevor and GitHub
• Open to learning new technologies and languages, following trends
• Familiar with QA, DevOps concepts and related tools such as test automation and CI/CD

Responsibilities

• Work within an Agile Team to analyze requirements and write high quality code
• Participate in design and code reviews with other engineers
• Contribute to iteration planning, refinement, and sprint reviews
• Communicate and collaborate across functional boundaries
• Drive opportunities to improve efficiency, security, and quality
• Interact with customers for support issues and feedback sessions
