Job summary

Teradyne is seeking an experienced Software Engineer/Lead for the North Reading software team. The role balances requirements definition, system design, development, testing, troubleshooting and maintenance, with on-site work at the North Reading office and some hybrid flexibility.

You will design, implement, test, and deploy software components for Teradyne’s family of Automatic Test Equipment, focusing on scalable, high-performance solutions and collaboration with multi-functional teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience developing software systems for commercial applications.
• Proficiency in C++, C#, and .NET development.
• Strong knowledge of data structures and algorithms; OS experience (Windows/Linux).
• Experience with Visual Studio; development lifecycles including Agile.

Responsibilities

• Understand customer requirements and design software that fits existing architecture.
• Design, implement, test, and deploy software components for Teradyne’s test equipment families.
• Create robust, scalable, high-performance software solutions.
• Contribute to reviews of deliverables with team members and provide feedback.
• Collaborate with application and field engineers to capture customer features and use cases.
• Lead brainstorming sessions to improve product and process.
