Job summary

Teradyne in North Reading, MA, seeks a Senior Software Engineer for compute test equipment. You will design, implement, test, and deploy software components for Teradyne’s family of Automated Test Equipment, balancing performance, scalability, and maintainability.

The role requires 5+ years of experience in C++, C#, and .NET, with solid knowledge of data structures, operating systems, and development tools.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience developing software for commercial applications.
• Strong knowledge of data structures and algorithms; OS: Windows and Linux.
• Proficient in C++, C#, and OO languages; .NET experience.
• Experience with development lifecycles and Agile methodologies.
• Experience in hardware/software development environments; semiconductor test industry exposure.

• Design, implement, test, and deploy software components for Teradyne’s Automated Test Equipment family.

The Software Engineering team in North Reading is looking for an experienced Software Engineer/Leadwithpassionfor learning, developing high quality software, solving complexproblemsand becoming part of a smart and innovative team. Are you able to balance a variety of tasks related torequirementsdefinition, software system design, development, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance? Interact with multi-functional teams from the product definition stage through product release? Thenyou'reexactly whowe'relooking for! This role has some hybrid flexibility however the candidate must be able to work on-site at the North Reading office.

• Understand customer requirements and find solutions that fit within our existing software architecture
• Design, implement, test, and deploy software components forTeradyne’sfamily of Automatic Test Equipment.
• Create robust designs with a focus on scalability, highperformance,andmaintainability.
• Conceive and implement fully functional andhigh performingsoftware solutions.
• Discuss and review deliverables with your fellow team members and provide feedback.
• Work withapplication and field engineers tounderstandcustomer featuresand use cases.
• Tackle difficult problems andcome up withinnovative softwaresolutions.
• Participateand leadbrainstorming sessions and contribute ideas to improve our product, ourprocess,and ourteam.

All About You

• 5+ years of experience developing software systems for commercial applications
• Experience with C++,C#and .NET development
• Solid knowledge of data structures and algorithms, and operating systems (Windows, Linux)
• Experience with development tools: Visual Studio,Clearcase/Git
• Experience with Development Lifecycles including Agile
• Experience modifying and extending code in big, complicated software systems.
• Experience working in the Semiconductor Test Industry
• Proficiencyin OOD and OO language (C, C++, C#)
• Experience working in hardware/software development environment
• BS/MS in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering

This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Compensation

The base salary range for this role is$129,600 - $207,400.This range is a good faith estimate, and the amount of base salary will correspond with experience and skill set. This range can also fluctuate depending on demand and location.
