Job summary

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with a bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering or similar field.
• Strong experience in GoLang and Python; C/C++ or other languages are a plus.
• Ability to collaborate in a fast-paced, high-performance team.
• Proven track record of mentoring and providing technical leadership.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills and communication.
• Experience with Linux, Docker and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Leads development of code and integration of complex components into a fully functional system.
• Drives efficiency and reliability improvements through design and automation.
• Partners with product management to define requirements and acceptance criteria; identifies and proposes process improvements to enhance performance and customer satisfaction.
• Guides, mentors, and provides technical guidance to junior and mid-level engineers to deliver well-tested, observable, documented, efficient, scalable, and resilient solutions.
• Represents the team in cross-organizational engineering meetings.
• Performs technical analysis to define design requirements for modifications to existing tools, utilities, system structures, and environments.
• Collaborates with principal engineers and management to define project scope, technical design methodologies, processes, standards, and estimation activities.
• Consistently meets commitments and project milestones.
• Assists in driving and delivering impactful customer-facing solutions.
• Participates in the team's hiring and onboarding processes.
• Conduct technical presentations.
• Upholds F5's Business Code of Ethics.
