Job summary

F5 is seeking a Software Development Engineer II to contribute to design, coding, testing, and debugging of platform and system software tasks of small to medium complexity. You will implement high‑quality code and deploy features or APIs under general supervision, collaborating on design reviews for stability.

The role requires GoLang (highly preferred), Python, Linux basics, Docker, Git, and CI/CD workflows.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional software engineering with a bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering or similar field.
• Experience in GoLang and Python is highly preferred.
• Strong debugging and collaboration in fast-paced teams.

Responsibilities

• Contributes to the development of small to medium complexity tasks, working on a variety of technical problems of varying scope & complexity.
• Develops feature code along with writing unit and functional tests, supporting larger components.
• Participate in design and code review to ensure quality and stability of features.
• Effectively work with peers on team-oriented projects.
• Proactively collaborates with other software engineers on design, best practices, and code reviews.
• Upholds F5's Business Code of Ethics.
