Job summary

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering with a bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering or similar field, or 7+ years equivalent experience.
• Strong experience in GoLang and Python; C/C++ or other languages desirable.
• Ability to collaborate, adapt, and thrive in a fast-paced, high-performance team environment.
• Proven track record of providing technical leadership to other software developers.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Leads development of code and integration of complex components into a fully functional system, including architecture, requirements, interfaces and designs.
• Drives efficiency and reliability through design and automation for availability and performance.
• Partner with product management to define requirements and acceptance criteria and propose process improvements.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers to deliver well-tested, observable, and scalable solutions.
• Represents the team in cross-organizational engineering meetings.
• Conducts technical analysis to define design requirements for modifications to tools and environments.
• Collaborates with principal engineers to define project scope and design methodologies.
• Meets commitments and project milestones.
• Supports in delivering customer-facing solutions.
• Participates in hiring and onboarding processes.
• Conducts technical presentations.
• Upholds F5’s Business Code of Ethics.
