Job summary

Mercury Insurance Services, LLC is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain complex software systems. You will lead agile teams, mentor junior engineers, and ensure delivery of high-quality solutions across distributed architectures.

The role requires deep experience in front-end and back-end technologies, microservices, and cloud platforms, with a focus on scalable, secure software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related fields Or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Master’s Degree in Computer Science preferred
• 5+ years software programming experience with 2+ years experience in Mercury technologies; leadership/mentoring
• 7+ years building enterprise-grade web apps with HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, Angular/React
• 5+ years designing intuitive document management or content-centric interfaces
• 5+ years integrating front-end with back-end services, APIs, middleware in complex environments

Responsibilities

• Write high-quality code for complex scenarios with good test coverage
• Translate product requirements into robust designs for modular, configurable, and scalable systems
• Lead design and code reviews to ensure best practices and Mercury standards
• Lead the sprint team to deliver new or improved features and remove impediments
• Collaborate with other teams to ensure successful delivery of functionality
• Mentor engineers and provide technical guidance to foster innovation and excellence
