Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Senior Software Developer to design, develop, test, and deploy applications within Information Services. The role leads projects, mentors junior developers, and partners with product managers, designers, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions.

The position emphasizes full stack development using .NET technologies, modern JavaScript frameworks, and cloud/CI/CD practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent years of experience.
• 5+ years of experience as a full stack software developer.
• Strong experience with .NET technologies and JavaScript frameworks.
• Experience leading projects and mentoring junior developers.

Responsibilities

• Develop software solutions by studying information needs; conferring with users; studying systems flow, data usage and work processes; investigating problem areas.
• Participate in the Agile software development from concept, design to full-stack coding and testing.
• Document and demonstrate solutions with clear code and diagrams.
• Stay current on development tools and techniques; pursue educational opportunities; read professional publications.
• Provide senior level support in project and status meetings; coach team members to close skill gaps.
• Mentor junior and mid-level software developers.
• Lead design and development of complex software projects; collaborate with product managers and designers to deliver solutions.
• Analyze complex technical problems and propose creative solutions; troubleshoot with team members.
• Perform code reviews; provide operational support as needed.
