Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Systems Engineer in Chicago, IL to provide technical leadership and support for computing systems and cross-functional projects across the NM healthcare IT environment.

You will collaborate with application teams, review requirements, draft specifications, and lead changes to ensure reliable, scalable systems with on‑call coverage including holidays and weekends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or related field; 3 years IT systems experience required.
• Experience with healthcare systems support; Power BI; Fabric; MS Power Platform.
• Familiar with SharePoint, PowerShell, Azure DevOps, CI/CD, SDLC, Microsoft Azure, REST API, Microsoft 365 Suite, SQL, Data Gateways.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and support for computing systems and system integration on cross-functional projects and T3 healthcare IT support.
• Review technology projects, analyze business requirements, recommend changes, write technical specifications, and implement system changes.
• Develop project plans to direct technology activities for application projects or independent work.
• Mentor team members and document standards, policies, and procedures for local networks.
