Job summary

CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield is seeking a senior software developer to lead design, development, and delivery of multiple applications. You will mentor junior engineers, review code, and ensure robust testing and deployment practices across cloud environments.

The role requires strong collaboration with stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions and a deep understanding of SDLC and modern CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science, or in lieu of a Bachelor's degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required in addition to the required work experience.
• 8 years Software design and development, software test and evaluation, software requirements management.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of software engineers in the design, development, and implementation of multiple applications. Performs and leads the detail technical design, coding, code review and testing of new applications and enhancements of existing applications.
• Mentor junior developers and ensure code quality and CI/CD adherence.
• Collaborate with project stakeholders to define system requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Identify risks and drive best practices across the SDLC and deployment pipelines.
