Job summary

Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey is seeking a highly experienced technical leader who designs, develops, and maintains highly complex software applications with interdependencies. You will guide teams, ensure projects meet business expectations, and uphold Horizon architectural standards.

You will mentor junior staff, drive DevOps practices, lead architecture discussions, and collaborate with internal customers and external vendors to deliver high-quality solutions.

Qualifications

• Requires expert knowledge of SDLC methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Kanban).
• Experience with analytics tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.).
• Requires advanced knowledge of object-oriented languages.
• Requires advanced knowledge of markup languages.
• Requires knowledge of relational database management systems.

Responsibilities

• Review highly complex business requirement documents and translate into technical specifications.
• Develop, modify and maintain highly complex software products with cross-functional dependencies.
• Mentor team on code development, deployment, security standards and SDLC practices.
• Lead DevOps practices and track metrics with quarterly reviews.
• Analyze and troubleshoot cross-functional problems and recommend remediation.
• Lead production support and routine maintenance activities.
• Provide status updates to management on deliverables and projects.
• Lead design, code and architecture reviews to ensure Horizon standards.
