Job summary

OutSystems is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, implement, and deliver major features within the Solutions Team. You will own end-to-end technical decisions, write high-quality code, review peers, and mentor junior engineers to grow their skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software development experience.
• At least 1 year building production-grade AI agents and complex intelligent systems.
• Strong working knowledge of LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG strategies, fine-tuning, and grounding techniques.
• Experience using major AI agent orchestration frameworks.
• Solid understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and scalability principles.
• Experience implementing security best practices and governance in production systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and evolve Solutions agents, workflows, services, components, and applications delivering customer value.
• Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, and engineers to balance functionality, usability, security, and scalability.
• Develop and test code in short cycles with automation.
• Conduct code reviews ensuring quality, security, and architectural conformity.
• Address technical debt and propose refactoring to improve quality and performance.
• Gather stakeholder feedback and adapt solutions accordingly.
• Design, document, and communicate high-level functional designs and solutions.
• Mentor junior engineers through code reviews and discussions.
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies and advocate improvements to Solutions and its ecosystem.
