Job summary

Zipline is recruiting a Senior Software Engineer for the ASW Launch Ops team to build the operational platform that turns a new market into a live, revenue-generating network—covering site acquisition, infrastructure, permitting, construction execution, deployment tracking, and launch readiness.

This greenfield, high-ownership role will establish technical foundations to scale Zipline from tens to hundreds or thousands of sites, partnering with Real Estate, Launch Operations, Construction,

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience building and maintaining production systems at scale.
• Ability to design APIs, data models, and service boundaries with maintainability in mind.
• Experience breaking down complex operational problems and delivering practical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Drive core product domains across site acquisition, permitting, infrastructure design, construction, deployment tracking, and launch readiness.
• Translate real-world processes into durable software supporting long-running workflows and regulatory interactions.
• Own production excellence with health metrics, runbooks, and on-call participation.
• Ship production code, review critical changes, and improve systems through postmortems and evolution.
