Job summary

Zipline is seeking a Senior Software Engineer on the ASW Launch Ops team to build the operational platform that turns a new market from an idea into a live, revenue-generating network.

You will replace fragmented manual workflows with a unified, auditable system and establish the technical foundations to scale from tens to hundreds of sites, working with Real Estate, Launch Operations, Construction, Hardware, and Manufacturing.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience developing and maintaining full-stack production systems.

Responsibilities

• Drive core product domains across site acquisition, permitting, infrastructure design, construction execution, deployment tracking, and launch readiness.
• Deliver measurable impact by reducing manual coordination, shortening site-launch timelines, and improving visibility.
• Lead technical design with APIs, data models, service boundaries, and architectural patterns.
• Build durable operational workflows for long-running processes, assets, documents and permits, approvals, and state transitions.
• Create a unified operational source of truth through resilient integrations across ERP, GIS, documents, permitting, and project management.
• Design for users by turning fragmented data into intuitive planning tools and drive adoption.
• Own production excellence with health metrics, SLOs, runbooks, on-call, and incident response.
• Remain hands-on by shipping production code and reviewing critical changes.
• Lead through influence and align across technical and operational stakeholders.
• Elevate the team by mentoring peers and improving testing, CI/CD, and reliability practices.
