Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the LatticeOS team, designing core platform services, middleware, and operating system components for onboard autonomous vehicles and edge devices. You will work closely with hardware, autonomy, and application teams to deliver a reliable, scalable platform with clean interfaces for internal and partner integrations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
• 5+ years of professional software development in systems programming, distributed systems, or robotics.
• Deep experience with C++, Rust, or similar systems programming languages.
• Proficiency with protocol design, serialization, and implementation (e.g., gRPC, Protobuf, Zenoh, DDS).
• Experience building software solutions involving high‑throughput data processing, transport, or system orchestration.
• Excellent collaboration skills and ability to work across cross‑functional teams.
• A desire to work on critical infrastructure software with real‑world impact.
• US Persons: Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export‑controlled information or facilities.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement core components and middleware for LatticeOS running onboard autonomous vehicles and edge devices.
• Develop robust, fault‑tolerant distributed systems that can operate reliably over denied, degraded, or intermittent communications links.
• Create interfaces, APIs, and tooling that enable internal teams and third‑party partners to integrate seamlessly with LatticeOS through the Lattice SDK.
• Collaborate with autonomy and hardware teams to ensure diverse physical platforms can reliably run and interact with the core operating system.
