Job summary

Delaware Department of Technology & Information (DTI) is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, test, and document complex government software components. You will evaluate requests, develop Java web applications, and ensure system integration and quality delivery.

Responsibilities include leading a small team, mentoring less experienced developers, and delivering projects on time and within budget under the Application Development Manager.

Qualifications

• Possess a minimum of 2 years' experience supervising a team of technical developers.
• 4 years’ experience in developing large scale public facing dynamic Java web applications (Java SDK, Java EE), with specific experience in the complete software development lifecycle.
• 4 years' experience developing Spring Boot and Angular Java Web applications.

Responsibilities

• Plan, requirements, design, coding, testing, debugging, system integration, and documentation of software components.
• Evaluate user requests for new programs and system integration of off-the-shelf products.
• Prepare detailed estimates and program specifications; monitor performance; provide training and mentorship.
• Report to the Application Development Manager and ensure delivery on time, on budget, and within specifications.
