Delaware Department of Technology & Information (DTI) seeks a Sr. Software Engineer to design, code, test, and integrate complex, multi-tier government software systems. You will evaluate user requests, prepare specifications, and deliver quality applications while mentoring junior developers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred in CS/IT or related field.
• Possess 4+ years in web application security standards and best practices.
• 4+ years in maintenance, configuration, and security of apps, databases, SOAP, REST, API and Middleware.
• 4+ years in IT industry standards and best practices for systems and software development.
• Minimum 1 year experience with Microsoft Office apps and virtual meeting tools.

Responsibilities

• Plan, requirements, design, coding, testing, debugging, system integration, and documentation of software components.
• Evaluate user requests for new programs and system integration of off-the-shelf products.
• Develop software per approved specs; test and debug for quality; create system and user documentation.
• Monitor performance and provide training and mentorship to less experienced team members.
