Job summary

T-Rex Solutions is seeking a Software Engineer 4 to support national security infrastructure at Ft. Meade, MD.

The role anchors a new feature, architecting solutions and translating complex requirements into robust designs while guiding development and deployment within an integrated feature team. Ideal candidates have a BS with 12+ years, expert Java (17+ preferred), Spring Boot, SOLID OO patterns, REST practices, and strong cross-team communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 12+ years related experience.
• Expert in Java (17+ preferred) and Spring Boot.
• Deep understanding of SOLID principles and OO design patterns.
• Proficient in REST interface standards and best practices.
• Ability to communicate and facilitate cross-team collaboration.
• Excellent oral and written communication; able to convey architecture/design concepts.
• Ability to write technical documentation including wiki sites, blogs, XML/HTML.

Responsibilities

• Architectural analysis & design: deconstruct requirements and create design docs using OO principles.
• Technical shepherding: lead feature from concept through development, testing, deployment.
• Cross-team coordination: liaise with Systems Engineering to align on approach.
• Team leadership & tasking: break designs into actionable tasks and mentor peers.
• Quality Assurance: perform MR reviews to ensure code, security, and performance standards.
