Job summary

Tractor Supply Company is seeking a software professional to design, develop, and support applications running across store platforms. You will gather requirements, help define project scope, and collaborate with technical leads to deliver reliable solutions.

Ideal candidates have 5–9 years in software development, a BS in computer science or related field, strong Java skills, and experience with Unix/Linux and web services in a retail context.

Qualifications

• 5–9 years of software development experience (Java preferred).
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.

Responsibilities

• Develop, configure, build, and unit test software.
• Meet with leads to set scope and goals, and ensure adherence to guidelines.
• Refine requirements with business analysts into core system capabilities.
• Assist designers, analysts, and developers to validate solutions.
• Provide training materials and run customer training sessions.
• Provide 24x7 rotating technical support and document resolutions.
• Prototype new requirements to enhance functionality and data flow.
• Support QA with test case input and execution.
• Mentor teammates on new technologies and best practices.
• Coordinate changes with Enterprise teams, ensuring proper documentation and deployment.
