Job summary
Defense Acquisition Support Services (DAS) seeks an experienced Senior Software Engineer to support the DCGS-A Follow-On program at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD. The role focuses on Java development, Kubernetes, containerization, and systems engineering to deliver mission-critical software for Army intelligence operations.

Qualifications
- Active Top Secret/SCI clearance required.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or related field.
- Nine years of software engineering experience within the last 15 years.
- Hands-on Java, Kubernetes, and containerization experience required.
- Experience designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software in enterprise environments.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, implement, and maintain Java-based software applications.
- Deploy and manage containerized apps using Kubernetes and related tools.
- Analyze performance, reliability, and operational effectiveness of software systems.
- Develop and execute software test strategies and validation procedures.
- Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to support development activities.
- Support software integration, troubleshooting, and lifecycle improvements.
- Create technical documentation and software design specifications.
- Ensure adherence to secure software development practices.
