Defense Acquisition Support Services (DAS) seeks a Software Architect, Journeyman to support the DCGS FOS program at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD. You will design, develop, and sustain mission-critical software, implement secure DevSecOps, and lead containerized deployments.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and secure software practices, with ability to work onsite with government stakeholders.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or related field; 5 years experience may substitute for degree.
• 3 years of relevant experience within the last 5 years.
• Experience designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software in Agile or DevSecOps environments.
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, container orchestration, and lifecycle management.
• Experience developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins, or similar tools.
• Knowledge of cloud infrastructure, IaC, and automated deployments.
• Proficiency with PowerShell or Batch scripting.
• Experience troubleshooting software, cloud infrastructure, networking, and integration issues.
• Familiarity with secure software development practices and automated testing.
• Experience with front-end web development and UI design.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to work with multidisciplinary teams and government stakeholders onsite.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, integrate, test, and maintain software applications in Agile and DevSecOps environments.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Develop and manage cloud-based infrastructure and services for hosting, testing, deployment, and sustainment.
• Design and implement IaC to automate provisioning and configuration.
• Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins, and related tools.
• Manage source-code repositories, branching strategies, code reviews, build processes, and releases.
• Deploy, configure, and maintain containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Manage Kubernetes lifecycles including image creation, deployment, scaling, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Integrate security practices into the SDLC with automated scanning and secure coding.
• Perform testing and troubleshooting to identify defects and performance issues.
• Monitor performance and implement corrective actions.
• Develop and maintain technical docs, architecture diagrams, deployment guides, and SOPs.
• Support scripting/automation with PowerShell and Batch scripting.
• Assist with front-end web design and application interface development.
