Job summary

Abbott is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead the design, development, testing, and maintenance of software applications for Abbott Cancer Diagnostics. You will mentor junior team members and own software quality with minimal supervision in a cross-functional software engineering team.

This role can be based in Abbott offices in Madison, WI or Redwood City, CA, with opportunities to influence technical decisions, collaborate with stakeholders, and deliver robust, scalable solutions

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in a technical field (Data Science, CS, IS, Math, or Engineering).
• Strong experience in OO programming and software design.
• Experience with cloud-based services (Azure, AWS).
• Proficient in RESTful services and relational databases.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, testing, and maintenance of software applications.
• Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements and drive solutions.
• Build internal/external partnerships and communicate project status clearly.
• Work with established design controls and engineering best practices.
