Job summary

T. Rowe Price is seeking a senior software engineer to design and build full-stack solutions for the Investments Technology – Equity team.

You will work across Java, Python, React, and JavaScript, collaborating with investment professionals to translate business needs into scalable technology. The role emphasizes AI exploration to improve engineering practices and investment workflows, with responsibilities including leading code reviews, mentoring juniors, and delivering user-facing features

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
5+ years of progressive experience in software development.
Proficiency in Java, Python, React, JavaScript; full stack capabilities.
Interest in applying AI responsibly to improve software delivery.
Experience with API design, testing, and deployment.
Familiarity with cloud-native patterns.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, modify and implement technology solutions for the Investments Technology – Equity team.
Lead development efforts and mentor peers while delivering scalable applications.
Review requirements, code, test, debug and implement software solutions.
Collaborate with investment professionals and product owners to translate business needs into technology.
Explore AI-enabled capabilities to improve workflows and user experiences.
Ensure quality through unit/integration tests and manage technical debt.
